Game set for Jan. 15 in Orlando
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – LB Tyshon Fogg is set to represent Rutgers football at the Tropical Bowl on Jan. 15. The game is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Camping World Stadium in Orlando. It will stream pay-per-view on the Varsity Sports Network.
Fogg is the fourth Scarlet Knight invited to a postseason all-star game, joining WR Bo Melton (Reese's Senior Bowl), RB Isaih Pacheco (Hula Bowl, East-West Shrine Bowl) and LS Billy Taylor (East-West Shrine Bowl).
Fogg finished his collegiate career with 293 tackles with 16 for loss in 49 games. The linebacker posted two sacks this past year, recording a season-high 10 stops at Penn State. He is a two-time honorable mention All-Big Ten selection with 70 tackles in 2020 after collecting 104, third-most in the Big Ten following the regular season, in 2019. Fogg also merited All-ECAC Defense as a junior.
Originally from Asbury Park, New Jersey, before moving to Baltimore, Fogg is a four-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree as a human resource management major.
The Tropical Bowl has taken place since 2016. Past Scarlet Knights to earn invites include OL Kamaal Seymour (2020), DB Ross Douglas (2018), RB Gus Edwards (2018), FB Sam Bergen (2016) and PK Kyle Federico (2016).
