PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers football (4-7, 1-7) lost to No. 11 Penn State (9-2, 6-2), 55-10, on Saturday at SHI Stadium. Prior to the game, the Scarlet Knights honored 22 student-athletes as part of Senior Day.

Adam Korsak established new NCAA records for career punts (339) and punting yardage (14,876).
Rutgers forced four punts in the first quarter and scored first thanks to a 42-yard field goal from PK
Jude McAtamney midway through the first quarter. The Scarlet Knights scored a touchdown on their next possession, as Wimsatt capped a quick four-play, 21-yard drive with a four-yard touchdown pass to Jones that was setup by a 66-yard kickoff return by WR
Aron Cruickshank. Jones' second score in as many games put RU up 10-7 at the 5:56 mark in the opening quarter.
Penn State added three consecutive touchdowns to take a 28-10 lead into halftime.
The Nittany Lions secured the win with three touchdowns and two field goals in the final two quarters of play.
- P Adam Korsak punted 12 times for 516 yards with four downed inside the 20 and no return yards against. He now holds the NCAA records for career punts (339) and punting yardage (14,876).
- WR Shameen Jones hauled in his 100th career reception and scored his sixth career touchdown on his next catch.
- WR Aron Cruickshank picked up 117 all-purpose yards to surpass 4,000 for his career (4,006).
- DB Avery Young moved into 11th place in program history with 318 career tackles, passing Tim Blanchard (1975-78).
- The attendance of 55,676 set a new stadium record. The average attendance of 50,756 set a new program record for a season.
