Volleyball Concludes Season At Michigan

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Rutgers volleyball team closed out the 2022 season on the road Friday night at Cliff Keen Arena with Michigan taking the win 25-22, 25-9, 25-11.

KEY MOMENTS
  • SET 1 (22-25) | A late run by the Wolverines gave the hosts the 1-0 lead. Rutgers scored four unanswered, including back-to-back service aces from Lexi Visintine, to go in front 9-6 and used a 6-1 run that featured a trio of kills by Taylor Humphrey for a 15-10 edge. Humphrey's fourth kill of the frame put RU up 20-18, however, Michigan scored the next five and closed on a 7-2 run to take the set.
  • SET 2 (9-25) | Michigan committed only two errors and swung .680 to take the second set. While the Scarlet Knights took the first two points, Michigan proceeded on a 9-1 run to take control. Alissa Kinkela captured three kills in the set.
  • SET 3 (11-25) | Blocks from the hands of Lauren DeLo and Kristina Grkovic saw Rutgers trail by a point at 7-6.  Michigan limited the Rutgers attack and outscored the visitors 18-5 the rest of the way. Grkovic collected three kills in the stanza along with a pair of blocks.
