PISCATAWAY, N.J. – No. 17 Rutgers women's lacrosse (2-0) hits the road to face Georgetown (1-0) on Saturday in Washington, D.C. The 3 p.m. draw will take place at Cooper Field.
 

LAST TIME OUT

• The Scarlet Knights defeated Army, 16-9, on Wednesday night at SHI Stadium. Graduate transfer Stephanie Kelly produced a team-high six points on four assists and two goals, while graduate student Taralyn Naslonski netted a season-high five goals to pace the Scarlet Knights' potent offensive attack.

• Up just 7-5 at halftime, Rutgers outscored the Black Knights 9-4 in the second half and held the visitors scoreless in the final 15 minutes of play. The Scarlet Knights also held a 20-9 advantage on the draw, as junior Meghan Ball became the third RU player this season to hit 100 draws for her career. Ball, senior Marin Hartshorn and junior Cassidy Spilis all had five or more draw controls in the win, as Hartshorn also produced the 100th point of her career thanks to a goal in the fourth quarter.

IN THE RANKINGS

• Rutgers remained No. 17 in the ILWomen/IWLCA poll and moved back one spot to No. 17 in the Nike/USA Lacrosse Top 20. Six Big Ten programs – No. 5 Northwestern, No. 8 Maryland, No. 11 Michigan, No. 17 Rutgers, No. 21 Johns Hopkins and No. 25 Penn State – are all ranked in the first ILWomen/IWLCA regular-season poll.

MILESTONES

• Hartshorn became the 26th player in program history to hit 100 points for her career. Hartshorn now owns 56 goals and 44 helpers during her impressive collegiate career.
• Ball became the 10th player in program history and third this season to secure 100 draw controls for her career after her six against Army. Hartshorn (108), Spilis (106) and Ball (105) are eighth, ninth and 10th all-time at Rutgers in the category.
• At 185 points, Naslonski moved past Brooke Cantwell for fifth all-time at Rutgers. Naslonski is just 15 points away from becoming the fourth player in RU history to produce 200 career points. joining Denise Reed (232; 1987-90), Katie Batiuk (216; 2004-07) and Heather Jones (206; 1991-94).
• Naslonski is sixth all-time in goals with 130, needing five to pass Cantwell for fifth all-time.
• Spilis (85) is 15 points away from 100 for her career.

SCOUTING GEORGETOWN

• The Hoyas opened their season with a 20-8 victory over American last Saturday on the road. Tatum Geist paced Georgetown's offense with five points on four goals and an assist, while Erin Bakes and Emma Gebhardt tallied hat tricks in the win. Liza Banks Campagna and Jordyn Sabourin each produced eight draw controls to help the Hoyas to an 18-14 advantage in that category.
• Gebhardt earned BIG EAST Freshman of the Week after her three-goal debut, while Nicole Massimino collected BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week laurels after she force two turnovers in the win over American.
• Georgetown is led by 18-year head coach Ricky Fried.

SERIES VS. GEORGETOWN

• Georgetown leads the all-time series, 3-21. RU lost to the Hoyas, 15-10, when the schools last met on April 13, 2014.
