GENEVA, Ohio – Rutgers track and field captured a pair of medals, led by Big Ten Champion

Chloe Timberg in the pole vault. The Scarlet Knights earned four podium finishes on day one of the Big Ten Championships Friday.
Bridgett won the long jump on his second attempt, posting a jump of 7.86m (25' 9.5") to give Rutgers its second championship in the event, joining current assistant coach and All-American Corey Crawford. For the third time this season, he also tied the school record in the 60-meter, running a time of 6.79 in the preliminaries.
Timberg, making her debut at the Big Ten Championships, finished in a tie for second in the pole vault as she cleared a height of 4.22m (13' 10"), earning the first points for the women's squad.
Additionally, the Scarlet Knights earned podium finishes from freshman
Sincere Robinson, who finished sixth in the long jump with a leap of 7.38m (24' 2.5").
Jasmine Van Note placed seventh in the shot put, recording a school record throw of 16.33m (53' 7").
In the team scoring, the men's side sits tied for seventh, while the women's squad holds a tie for 10th place. The Scarlet Knights collected 15 personal records on Friday.
The following Scarlet Knights posted qualifying times in the preliminaries in their respective events, advancing to Saturday's finals.
