PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Rutgers men's basketball team (16-12, 10-8 Big Ten) is back on the road Wednesday night, as RU will take on Indiana (18-10, 9-9 Big Ten).
The Scarlet Knights head to Assembly Hall for the last regular season Big Ten road game. Rutgers is 14-1 when holding opponents to 65 points or less this season.
WITH A VICTORY
The Scarlet Knights will have won 11 Big Ten Conference games, tying the 2019-20 team for the most ever Big Ten wins in a season. RU would claim its fourth Big Ten road win of the season. That ties last season's team for the most ever road wins in Big Ten play. RU would run its winning streak against the Hoosiers to five straight and seven of the past eight games.
HISTORY WITH INDIANA
Rutgers has won the last four games against Indiana and six of the last seven games against the Hoosiers.
Last season Rutgers started its postseason journey on a winning note, taking down No. 10 seed Indiana by a final score of 61-50 in its opening game at the Big Ten Tournament. The victory for the seven-seeded Scarlet Knights was the team's fourth ever Big Ten Tournament victory, and third win over Indiana this season.
The last time RU won at Assembly Hall Scarlet Knights were led by 19 points from
Geo Baker in the victory over the Hoosiers on Sunday Jan. 24, 2021.
Ron Harper Jr. had a double-double with 15 points and a career-high 12 rebounds. Rutgers shot 51 percent from the field, its best mark in Big Ten play. The Scarlet Knights came out of the gates with strong shooting, making five-of-six shots to open the game, and using a 10-0 run to take a 15-8 lead.

The Rutgers men's basketball team suffered a tough loss to No. 13/12 Wisconsin at Jersey Mike's Arena on Saturday night, falling 66-61.RU went into half time down nine points after shooting (9-24) from the field and (0-6) from the three-point line in the first half. Ron Harper Jr. had 15 points and shot (5-11) from the field. With under a minute remaining and RU training by five, Harper Jr. drilled a three-pointer to give the Scarlet Knights a chance on their final possession to tie the game down three points. Baker missed just long on a game-tying three-point attempt on the final shot of the game for RU.
MCCONNELL A DPOY CANDIDATE
Caleb McConnell is having a stellar season on defense with 65 steals, which is currently seventh in the nation. McConnell leads the Big Ten Conference in steals and leads in steals-per-game (2.32). He had back-to-back-to-back games of over four+ steals to key wins over No. 13 Michigan State (four) and No. 16 Ohio State (four) and No. 13 Wisconsin (six). His 21 steals over a five game stretch tied him for second most in the Big Ten since 2002-03. His chase-down block to deny a breakaway layup against OSU sparked a 10-0 run for the team to close the game. He tied a career-high with six steals against Wisconsin.
