ATLANTA, Ga. – NCAA diving competition continued for Rutgers'
Abigail Knapton and
Savana Trueb on Friday with 3M.

Knapton reached the consolation finals in the event. The Omaha, Nebraska product was 10
th out of prelims having totaled 331.20. She finished third in the consolation round scoring a 340.75.

It was Knapton's fifth time diving on 3M in an NCAA Championships. Previously, she was a First Team All-American honoree in 2021 with an eighth-place performance and finished 15th in 2019, 22nd in 2018 and 30th in 2017 in the event.
On Thursday, Knapton was 28
th on 1M.

Trueb, a junior from Colorado Springs, Colorado, landed in 25
th with a score of 299.40. She was competing on 3M on the national stage for the first time in her career.

On Thursday, Trueb placed 24
th on 1M.

Both Scarlet Knights will be back in action on platform on Saturday, March 19.
Knapton is diving in her fifth NCAA Championship overall and won the platform crown at NCAA Zones last week. She is a four-time First Team-All American on platform and Rutgers record holder. Â Her previous performances on platform include fourth place in 2017, fifth place in 2019 and eighth place in both 2021 and 2018.
Trueb will be competing on platform for the second time in her career. She was the runner-up in the event at zones and placed 25
th last season.
Preliminaries begin at 12:15 p.m. with live results available at divemeets.com. ESPN3 will provide digital broadcast coverage for preliminary and finals sessions.Â
