Tennis Set for Doubleheader with LIU and Seton Hall on Friday

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers tennis returns home for a doubleheader on Friday, March 4, hosting Long Island University at 11 a.m. and Seton at 3:30 p.m. Both matches will take place at the East Brunswick Racquet Club, streaming live through Playsight with live results.
Fans are required to wear a mask while indoor the East Brunswick Racquet Club.
Rutgers is coming off a weekend off from competition, having last hosted Yale on Saturday, Feb. 19. The Scarlet Knights look to return to the win column following a tight, 5-2 setback against the Bulldogs.
Freshman Jackeline Lopez leads the team with six singles wins on the year, remaining 5-0 at the No. 2 singles spot. Classmate Minchae Kim follows with five singles wins of her own across the No. 5 and No. 6 spots.
In doubles, senior Tess Fisher and Kim picked up their fifth win as a pair, defeating Yale's Jessie Gong and Chelsea Kung who were ranked No. 37 nationally. The duo holds a record of 5-0 on the year.
Fisher and Kim jumped into the ITA Top 60 Doubles Rankings, standing at No. 53 nationally. The duo is the third highest ranked doubles pair among Big Ten teams in the standings.
