PISCATAWAY, N.J. – No. 13 Rutgers women's lacrosse (8-1, 0-1) opens a three-game homestand with No. 20 Johns Hopkins (5-4, 0-1) on Saturday at SHI Stadium. First draw is set for 5 p.m. ET and will stream on Big Ten Plus, with Dom Savino on the call.
The game marks the first of three consecutive home games for the Scarlet Knights, as they also host No. 12 Michigan (March 31) and Arizona State (April 3) during the homestand.
Admission to all 2022 home games is free. Parking for 2022 women's lacrosse home games is also free, but visitors must register their vehicle with the University through this
link. Visitors only need to register their vehicle once for the entire season. Parking for 2022 home games is in the Scarlet Lot outside the West entrance of SHI Stadium.
Last Time Out
RU lost at No. 4 Maryland, 16-6, on Sunday afternoon in College Park, Maryland. The Scarlet Knights were within two goals midway through the third quarter before the Terrapins closed out their victory with a 9-1 scoring run. The loss snapped RU's 8-0 start to begin the year, its best start to a season in its 46-year history.
It marked Rutgers' third consecutive road game against a ranked foe, as it also delivered wins at No. 18 Temple (March 9) and No. 21 James Madison (March 13) prior to Sunday's loss. The 1,026 in attendance at Maryland's Field Hockey and Lacrosse Complex was the biggest crowd the Scarlet Knights have played in front of this season.

Meghan Ball Approaching 150 Career Draw Controls
With 145 career draw controls, junior
Meghan Ball is second all-time in the category at Rutgers and needs five to reach 150 for her career. Ball is third in the country and 27th in the NCAA with her 5.78 draw controls per game.
Scouting Johns Hopkins
The Blue Jays registered a 14-7 win against East Carolina on Sunday it their last time out. Shelby Harrison and Madison McPherson combined for nine goals, including seven in the second half, to help JHU to the out-of-conference victory. Johns Hopkins is 0-1 in Big Ten play to start the year after it lost 9-7 at then-No. 10 Michigan on March 18 in Baltimore.
Georgia Esmond leads the team with 26 points on 10 goals and 16 assists, as five Blue Jays own double-digit point totals this spring. Harrison has caused a team-high 31 turnovers, while Kathleen Garvey owns a 9.66 GAA and a .433 save percentage.

Johns Hopkins leads the all-time series with Rutgers, 6-1. RU defeated the Blue Jays for the first time in program history last season - one of three first-time wins over a opponent for Rutgers last spring.
