Tennis Falls to No. 35 Northwestern

EVANSTAN, ILL. – Rutgers tennis fell to No. 35 Northwestern on the road Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats claimed the team doubles point and six singles victories for the 7-0 win.
Despite losing the first set at No.4 singles, freshman Minchae Kim made a comeback in the second set. In the end, her opponent outlasted the rally and edged out the win by a margin of 6-2, 7-5. At No. 1 singles, senior Tess Fisher battled her opponent ranked No. 106 in the nation, however, fell by a score of 6-2, 6-4
Northwestern marked the first Top 40 ranked opponent Rutgers has faced in Big Ten action this season.
Rutgers travels to Illinois for a 12 p.m. ET matchup on Sunday, March 27.
