Alicia Campbell and
Kyle Lipscomb won the women's and men's hammer throw, respectively at the Scarlet Knights' second meet of the outdoor season at the Monmouth Home Opener.

The Scarlet Knights tallied two event wins in the hammer throw last weekend in both the men's and women's events.
Â
Campbell gave the Scarlet Knights a victory in hammer throw with a first-place toss, recording a distance of 50.31m (165' 0") while Lipscomb added to the first-place finishes in the event with a toss recording a distance of 59.69m (186' 10").

The Scarlet Knights earned 10 top-five finishes on the weekend, including four top-three performances. Rutgers earned 3 runner-up finishes in the 1500-meter (
Erin Bertscha), 3000-meter steeplechase (
Yelena Alpaugh) and discus (Lipscomb).

Freshman
Suzy Lacombe added a top-three finish tying for third in the pole vault clearing the bar at 3.35m (10' 11.75").

The Scarlet Knights continue their road trip as the squad splits up to compete at the Stanford Invitationals at Stanford University and Florida Relays in Gainsville.
