Emily Leese represented Rutgers gymnastics at the NCAA Regionals on Thursday night. The Raleigh Regional was hosted at NC State with Thursday's Second Round meet split into two sessions.

Huang, appearing in her fourth Regional, competed on beam and floor in Session I. Joyner, who was at her second straight Regional, competed in the all-around in Session II. Leese, in her Regional debut, competed on vault also in Session II. The Scarlet Knights will await Saturday's results, which will determine individuals advancing to the NCAA Championships.

In her fourth career NCAA Regionals appearance, Huang competed on beam and floor. The captain recorded a 9.900 on beam to finish fourth in Session I and seventh overall in the Second Round of Regionals. This season, Huang has reached a season best of 9.900 three times on beam, eclipsing the score eight times while "On the Banks".

On floor, Huang recorded a 9.825, reaching that mark or higher in 12 meets this season. She will graduate as the Rutgers record holder with 14 career 9.9 or higher marks on floor, including the second-highest score in program history with a 9.975.

Competing at her second straight Regional, Joyner finished fifth in the all-around of Session II. She finished ninth overall in the Second Round of Regionals with an all-around score of 39.325, including a 9.800 on vault, a 9.800 on bars, a 9.875 on beam, and a 9.850 on floor.

Joyner is now a two-time NCAA qualifier in the all-around. In her debut in 2021, she become the third gymnast in RU history to advance to Nationals, doing so on beam. She was the first individual reach the highest stage on beam, as she also stands as the program record holder in the event with a 9.950.

Leese appeared in her first career NCAA Regional, competing a vault with a 10.0 start value. In the Session II, she posted a score of 9.525. This season, she established a new career high of 9.900 in the event. It stands as the second-highest individual event score in program history, just shy of the school record of 9.925.
