PISCATAWAY, N.J. – No. 15 Rutgers women's lacrosse (13-3, 3-2) wraps up the regular season at RV Ohio State (9-6, 2-3) on Thursday night in Columbus. First draw is set for an 8 p.m. ET start and a national broadcast on Big Ten Network.
The Scarlet Knights enter Thursday's matchup after they delivered an 18-13 win over RV Penn State last Saturday in Piscataway. The win secured RU a spot in next month's Big Ten Tournament, hosted by Rutgers from May 6-8 at SHI Stadium.
Last Time Out
Rutgers defeated RV Penn State on Saturday in front of a season-high 1,252 fans at SHI Stadium. Five Scarlet Knights produced three or more goals – including a game-high five from
Cassidy Spilis – to secure the most wins for the program since the 1999 campaign.
RU honored nine student-athletes for Senior Day prior to the game –

Individually, Naslonski became the program's all-time goal scorer at 174, passing Heather Jones (1991-94) for the most in school history. With her three assists, Kelly set a program single-season record with 35 helpers on the year, as she passed Danielle Mascera (2012) for the honor.
Rutgers used efficiency on both sides of the field to secure its win over Penn State. The Scarlet Knights scored 18 goals on just 25 shots, while sophomore
Sophia Cardello countered PSU's 41 shots with a career-high 18 saves for her 11th win of the season. Spilis, Hartshorn, Naslonski and juniors

Big Ten Tournament Set for Piscataway May 6-8
Tickets for the 2022 Big Ten Women's Lacrosse Tournament, set for May 6-8 at SHI Stadium in Piscataway, New Jersey, are now on sale. The semifinals begin on Friday, May 6 at 5 p.m. ET, followed by the championship game on Sunday at noon.
Thanks to the results across the conference last weekend, Rutgers secured a spot in the conference tournament and can lock up the No. 3 seed with a win over Ohio State on Thursday.
Historic Wins Total
With their win over Michigan on March 31, the Scarlet Knights locked up 10 wins for the first time since the 2010 campaign. Rutgers has produced seven 10-plus win seasons since its first year of varsity lacrosse in 1977. Its most in a season was 14 in 1999, when the Scarlet Knights advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in their history.

Kelly Going for 300 Career Points
Graduate student
Stephanie Kelly needs just four points to reach 300 points for her career. Kelly produced 237 points from 2018-21 while at St. Joseph's and is second on the team this season with 59 points on 24 goals and 35 assists. Kelly set the program's single-season assist record at 35 with her three assists last Saturday against Penn State.
Spilis Tewaaraton Award Top 25
Junior midfielder
Cassidy Spilis was named to the Tewaaraton Award Top 25 last week - the first time the program has had a Top 25 finalist. At 56 goals this season, Spilis needs just five goals to pass Heather Jones (1993) for the program's single-season goal record. Spilis has scored hat tricks in 12 outings this season and five or more goals five times.
Scouting Ohio State
The Buckeyes enter Thursday's matchup with a 9-6 record and 2-3 mark in Big Ten action. OSU dropped a tough 17-14 result at Johns Hopkins last Saturday in its last time out. Ohio State owns Big Ten wins over Michigan and Penn State this spring.
New Jersey native Nicole Ferrara leads the Buckeyes with 47 points on 29 goals and 18 assists while Jaime Lasda has tallied a team-best 34 goals. Chloë Johnson is second in the Big Ten and ninth nationally with 118 draw controls. Regan Alexander owns a 11.20 goals against average and a .450 save percentage for 8 wins this season in cage.
Rutgers leads the all-time series with Ohio State, 7-5, which includes a 6-4 mark in Big Ten Play. RU has won the previous three matchups against the Buckeyes, all coming during the 2021 season.
