INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – No. 18 Rutgers rowing prepares for the 2022 Big Ten Championships on Sunday, May 15 at the Indianapolis Rowing Center at Eagle Creek Park. Racing begins at 9 a.m. with live results and a live stream on B1G+ both available for free.

The Scarlet Knights, who have been nationally ranked all season, are joined by Big Ten opponents No. 6 Michigan, No. 9 Ohio State and No. 17 Indiana in the latest CRCA rankings. Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan State, and Iowa are all receiving votes.
Rutgers will enter seven point-scoring flights in the race for the Big Ten team championship title, which is awarded to the highest point total after the seven races. The flights are weighted differently and are as follows for the 2022 Big Ten Championships:
The Scarlet Knights are headed toward the most important events of the season with momentum after claiming seven medals at the Women's Eastern Sprints in Worcester, Massachusetts. Showing off the team's depth, the 3rd Varsity 4 and 2nd Novice 8 boats claimed gold medals, while four of the five second-place boats took silver behind No. 5 ranked Brown.
Last time at the Big Ten Championships in 2021, Rutgers produced its best performance at the conference regatta with program records in team finish (third), points (143), medal-winning boats (five), and All-Conference selections (four). The Varsity 8 and 3rd Varsity 4 won silver medals, while the 2nd Varsity 8, Varsity 4, and 2nd Varsity 4 brought home bronze. The three NCAA qualifying boats (V8, 2V8, V4) all earned their first-ever medals at the Big Ten Championships last Spring. Luisa Neerschulte returns to the race after earning First Team All-Big Ten in 2021, joined by Second Team honorees Olivia Maxton and Femke Paulis in the V8 boat.
