Scarlet Knights earn five medals including two gold at historic Franklin Field

PHILADELPHIA – Rutgers track and field made its long-awaited return to Franklin Field for the Penn Relays last weekend, earning a pair of event wins and five total medals in four field events. It marked the first Penn Relays since 2019 due to the pandemic.

The Scarlet Knights were led by A'nan Bridgett and Chloe Timberg who picked up victories in the men's championship long jump and women's championship pole vault, respectively. Sincere Robinson gave Rutgers a 1-2 finish in the long jump as he took second, while Alicia Campbell placed second in the women's college shot put and Kyle Lipscomb finished runner-up in the men's college discus.

Timberg claimed the top spot in the pole vault as she cleared a height of 4.13m (13' 6.5"). Campbell gave the women's team its silver medal as she recorded a second-place throw of 15.57m (51' 1") in the shot put.
