
Jackson Temple Selected as Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week

Temple earns his first Big Ten weekly honor after recording three goals and two assists in wins over UAlbany and Northwestern
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Jackson Temple of the Rutgers men's soccer team (4-1-2) was named Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week after leading the two to back-to-back victories. The conference made the announcement Tuesday afternoon.
The senior forward guided the team to two wins over this past week, defeating UAlbany (5-1) and Big Ten rival Northwestern (4-2). Jackson recorded three goals and two assists for eight points between the two outings.
Temple had a career night against the Great Danes, with his first brace of the season, and second of his career, in addition to two helpers. The six points marks a single game career-high.

He followed up the performance with another goal in the Scarlet Knights' Big Ten opener against the Wildcats.
With four assists on the season, Temple is currently tied with teammate Ola Maeland to lead the Big Ten. He is also second in the conference with four goals and 12 points, behind only teammate MD Myers.
Temple was also selected to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week
In addition to Temple's praise, Hugo Le Guennec was also chosen to the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week. The honor comes after the senior defender recorded his first three career points with the first goal and assist of his college career.

Looking Ahead
For the first time since the end of August, RU will hit the road, traveling to Wisconsin on Sept. 23 for an 8 p.m. contest.
