IOWA CITY, Iowa – Rutgers women's soccer (5-5-3, 1-3-1) dropped a tight Big Ten match, 1-0, at Iowa (8-1-3, 2-1-2) at the Iowa Soccer Complex on Sunday afternoon.
 
SCORING SUMMARY

• The Hawkeyes scored the lone goal of the contest in the 24th minute when Josie Durr found some space and fired a perfect shot from 19 yards out to the left side netting for the 1-0 lead.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED

• The Scarlet Knights challenged the conference's top defense, also ranked No. 3 in the country with a 0.27 goals-against average before Sunday's game, with two shots on goal by Sam Kroeger and Riley Tiernan.

• Iowa led, 15-5, in overall shots, with a 6-2 edge in shots on target.
• Rutgers goalkeeper Olivia Bodmer made five saves to keep the deficit at one.

Iowa's last win came in 2017, a 1-0 triumph for the Hawkeyes in Iowa.
