Taylor Humphrey collected three digs while Madyson Chitty garnered six digs on defense.
- Set 2 (20-25) | Rutgers led for much of the frame going up by four early at 9-5 and holding on to an 18-15 lead before the Cornhuskers made their move. After playing out to its early four-point advantage, Nebraska tied up the set at 12-12, but the Scarlet Knights stayed in front responding with six of the next nine points for an 18-15 edge. Nebraska though was able to take the lead and the frame closing on a 10-2 run. Alissa Kinkela notched four kills on nine swings with no errors to hit .444 while adding five digs to her state line.
- Set 3 (18-25) | The Cornhuskers came up with the frame's first five points. With Nebraska up 11-5, the two squads traded points with Rutgers tacking on three unanswered off kills by Alyssa Nayar, Taylor Humphrey and Bekah Williams to trail 14-10. A Cornhusker attack error had RU down by four at 15-11 but the visitors would go on to lead by as many as seven in the win. Alissa Kinkela came up with six digs and joined Anna Hartman with a pair of kills in the stanza.
