PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Rutgers men's basketball team has received recognition from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for academic achievement during the 2022-23 calendar year.
As a team, Rutgers was honored with an Academic Excellence Award after owning a 3.10 GPA during the 2022-23 academic season.
The Scarlet Knights were one of five Big Ten teams to receive the NABC team award, joined by Northwestern, Purdue, Nebraska and Minnesota.
To be eligible for the team award, teams must have completed the 2022-23 academic year with a combined 3.0 GPA or better.
In addition, six individuals were named to the NABC Honors Court. To be selected to that team, players must be a junior, senior or graduate student and own a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or better.
Two players on the 2023-24 roster were named to the Honors Court for last season in forward
Aundre Hyatt and center
Clifford Omoruyi.

Oskar Palmquist, and forward
Dean Reiber were named to the honors court.
