Athletics Strikes Partnership With Bubbakoo’s Burritos

WALL, N.J. – Bubbakoo's Burritos, the New Jersey-based brand known for its innovative Mexican-fusion menu, has announced its partnership with Rutgers Athletics featuring a limited-time promotion and appearances with beloved former athlete Eric LeGrand.

Through the partnership, Bubbakoo's Burritos will elevate the gameday experience at Rutgers by introducing an exclusive promotion that will apply during the football and basketball seasons. With the official kickoff of the football season starting on September 3, for any game that the Scarlet Knights wins, fans will receive a $3 discount on any Bubbakoo's Burritos entrée. This code is only redeemable at Bubbakoo's Burritos locations in New Jersey and New York.

The brand is also teaming up with LeGrand, a former Rutgers football player who has left an indelible mark on the New Jersey sports scene. During a game in 2010, LeGrand sustained an injury that left him paralyzed from the neck down. LeGrand has become a pillar of strength and courage within the sport of football and throughout the country. In the years since his injury, LeGrand has become an author, sports analyst, business owner and advocate for paralyzed individuals.

"We are honored to embark on this exciting journey alongside Rutgers University and Eric," said Paul Altero, co-founder of Bubbakoo's Burritos. "This partnership represents the fusion of our shared values, including a passion for excellence and an unwavering commitment to the communities we serve. Just as a great meal has the power to bring people together, so does the spirit of sportsmanship and gameday excitement. We look forward to the traction this collaboration will bring, as it is a testament to what unfolds when exceptional food and thrilling sports unite."

As part of the marketing partnership, Bubbakoo's Burritos will receive significant exposure through LED signage at SHI Stadium, and inside Jersey Mike's Arena. Bubbakoo's will also receive promotion through digital and radio assets.

"This is a tremendous opportunity to partner with a great New Jersey brand in Bubbakoo's Burritos, and an incredible advocate in Eric LeGrand," said Lisa Tirrell, associate athletic director, brand marketing and business development. "We look forward to working with Bubbakoo's Burritos to bring our fans an exciting game day experience."
