SEASIDE, Calif. – Rutgers women's golf finished in 9th place out of 11 teams at the 2023 Molly Collegiate Invitational on Tuesday afternoon at Bayonet Golf Course.
The Scarlet Knights shot an 895 (297-297-301) as a team against the strongest field they have competed in thus far in the fall 2023 campaign.
"This was a great tournament for us to be at with one of the strongest fields we've seen," head coach
Kari Williams said. "We had some good individual rounds with Cathi, Lorena, and Leigha posting rounds under par. As a group, we need to continue working on our consistency and focus for 18 holes and complete tournaments. We have a quick turnaround before leaving for our next event at Kansas, but they continue to learn from each round they play."
Cathi Graf and
Lorena Rossettin led the way on the individual leaderboard for RU, with both finishing in a tie for 38th place.
Rikke Nordvik (T40) and
Leigha Devine (T42) were not far behind.
