STANDOUT STATS
KEY MOMENTS
  • SET 1 (18-25) | Rutgers found an early groove with a Zora Hardison blast causing Wisconsin to call time after the Scarlet Knights took a 5-4 lead. Out of the huddle, the Badgers collected six straight starting off with a trio of kills from Julia Orzol for a 9-5 edge. The next 14 points went back and forth between the two squads with the Badgers holding on to a 16-12 advantage. RU pulled within a pair as back-to-back errors from the visitors, along with a kill from Avery Jesewitz, saw the Scarlet Knights trail 17-15. Wisconsin, however, answered with a trio of points of their own and closed out the opening set with three straight to hit .441 for the frame. Hardison notched four kills hitting .375.

  • SET 2 (14-25) | The second set was even early. A Georgia Lee ace saw the set tied at 4-4 and a swing from Avery Jesewitz knotted the frame at 7-7. Jesewitz was once again on the attack as RU pulled within two at 13-11, but Wisconsin collected seven unanswered points and closed on a 12-3 run.
  • SET 3 (18-25) | The final frame was close early. Ece Emrullah's first Big Ten kill had the Scarlet Knights within a point at 11-10. The Badgers, however, used a 6-1 run to grow its lead. Back-to-back blocks by Emrullah and Jesewitz allowed RU's to narrow its deficit to 20-15 down the stretch. Alissa Kinkela produced six kills to connect at a .417 clip for the set.
