
Men's Soccer Setback at Washington

PISCATWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers men's soccer team (4-9-2, 1-6-1 B1G) dropped a 2-0 decision to Washington (7-4-5, 3-3-3 B1G) on the road Friday night.
The Huskies scored in the 23rd minute, and although the Scarlet Knights were strong on defense and generated some offensive chances in the second half, RU couldn't find the back of the net.
Washington secured the victory with another goal in the 88th minute.

Game Notes
- Ola Maeland paced Rutgers with two shots while Curt Calov put one on goal.
- Freshman Scott Godden started his 14th outing while Matty Lynch earned his second consecutive start of the season.
- Other rookies in Lenny Aviles and Thomas Angelone also found the pitch.

Rutgers will return to Yurcak Field for its final home game of the 2024 regular season against No. 2 Maryland on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m.
