ROSEMONT, Ill. – Freshman Delaney Adrian and junior
Gabrielle Dildy of Rutgers gymnastics have been named 2025 Big Ten Gymnasts to Watch, announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Adrian enters her first collegiate season with a Big Ten accolade earned from six years as a Level 10 gymnasts. Hailing from Columbia, Missouri, Adrian competed with Show Me Gymnastics and qualified for five National Championship meets. She won the 2023 beam title at the Regional Championship, then finished seventh in the all-around ath the 2023 National Championships. This past season, Adrian placed third on floor and sixth in the all-around at the 2024 Regional Championships.
Adrian is also a star in academics as part of the French Honor Roll and a state champion in high school Distrubitive Educations Clubs of America (DECA).
Dildy was voted the Most Valuable Gymnast for the Scarlet Knights in 2024. Her breakout season hit a new high in the home finale at Jersey Mike's Arena. Dildy opened her evening with her first collegiate 9.9, sticking her Yurchenko full in front of the home crowd and winning the event in the tri-meet. She ended the night with a 9.8 on beam and her second 9.9 of the night on floor to help Rutgers score a season-high 49.395, the fifth-highest score in team history, while taking tying for the event's top score. Dildy then scored a 9.9 on vault in the regular season finale at George Washington and completed an excellent Big Ten Championships with a 9.85 on vault, a 9.825 on beam, and a 9.9 on floor - which earned seventh place out of 60 at the conference championship meet.
Adrian, Dildy, and the Scarlet Knights open the 2025 season on Sat., Jan. 4 at the California Invitational before hosting their home opener on Sat., Jan. 11 in a quad meet against Towson, West Chester, and UPenn at 1 p.m. at Jersey Mike's Arena.
