Rutgers gymnastics scored a season-high 195.850 in a close dual meet loss to Penn State, who scored a 196.075 on Thursday evening at Jersey Mike's Arena. The Scarlet Knights produced their sixth-best floor score in team history with a 49.300 with all five scores at 9.850 or above.
Senior
Emily Leese won her fourth event in as many meets to start the 2024 season, taking the floor and vault crowns against Penn State in Piscataway with a vault of 9.900. She scored a 9.9 or higher on vault for the fourth time in her career, giving her 10 scores of 9.9+ overall. Leese is Rutgers' high scorer on vault and floor to start the season.
Junior
Elia Aird has returned to the all-around this season, improving her career-best with a 39.125 against Penn State last week, surpassing her previous standard of 38.975. Aird scored a 9.775 (vault), 9.700 (bars), 9.800 (beam), and 9.850 (floor) for her new career high.

Sophomore
Rachael Riley, who made her college debut this season, earned her first Top 3 finish with a 9.850 on beam in the Penn State dual, a new career high. Earlier in the meet, she tied her career-best 9.775 on vault.
