
Brackets, Seeding Finalized for 2024 NCAA Wrestling Championships

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Brackets and seeding for the 2024 NCAA Wrestling Championships, held March 21-23 in Kansas City, Missouri, have been released. No. 14 Rutgers wrestling will have eight competitors at NCAAs under head coach Scott Goodale, its third season with seven or more qualifiers and most since 10 competed in 2016.
Fresh off his Big Ten title, Dylan Shawver earned the No. 4 seed at 133 pounds and opens next week's championships against No. 29 seed Jace Koelzer (Oklahoma). No. 13 seed Yaralsau Slavikouski (HWT), No. 14 seed John Poznanski (197), No. 15 seed Mitch Moore (141), No. 16 seed Dean Peterson (125) and No. 16 seed Jackson Turley (174) all received seeds on the top half of the bracket. Brian Soldano (184) earned the No. 21 seed, while No. 33 seed Michael Cetta (149) will open his first championships with a championship pigtail match.
The Scarlet Knights will send seven or more wrestlers to nationals for the third consecutive season under head coach Scott Goodale. RU wrapped up an impressive showing over the weekend at the 2024 Big Ten Wrestling Championships in College Park, Maryland, where Dylan Shavwer (133) earned the program's first individual conference title in five years, while seven student-athletes earned top-eight finishes and automatic bids to the national tournament.
