PHILADELPHIA – Rutgers pole vaulter
Chloe Timberg earned an Olympic standard height and a spot at the 2024 Olympic Trials with her record-setting performance at the Penn Relays on Saturday, April 27 in Philadelphia. The junior extended her school record in the event, including breaking the facility record at historic Franklin Field.
The Scarlet Knights turned in one of the best weekends in program history with three school records, six all-time marks and a pair of individual champions.
Timberg established a record in the pole vault for the second time this season as she cleared a height of 4.60m (15' 1"). It was also her second Penn Relays title after winning in 2022. Timberg also broke the 13-year-old facility record which was set in 2011.
On the women's side, the Scarlet Knights collected two more school records in the javelin and the sprint medley relay.
Alianna Eucker finished third in the javelin (COA) with a school record throw of 50.10m (164' 4"), breaking a 23-year-old mark set by Jenny Graf in 2001. The sprint medley relay group of

Charlee Crawford,
Shelby Whetstone and
Alex Carlson ran a school record time of 3:47.28, breaking the previous top time set in 2019.
The distance medley relay team of
Gavin Richards,
Gabriel Rodriguez,
Christopher Hill and
Kyle Rakitis just missed the school record time by a second as the group finished fourth running 9:43.66.
Sincere Robinson added the other individual title for the Scarlet Knights as he won the long jump with a distance of 7.72m (25' 4"). In the women's long jump COA,
Celine-Jada Brown and
Kristina Tossas finished third and fourth, respectively. Brown jumped 6.07m (19' 11"), while Tossas record a leap of 5.67m (18' 7.25").
Konstantinos Bouzakis finished second in the discus with a throw of 59.12m (193' 11") and
Brian O'Sullivan placed third in the pole vault, clearing a height of 5.16m (16' 11"). The 4x100-meter relay team of
Jah'mere Beasley,
Shamali Whittle,
Greg McQueen and
James Bivins finished fourth with a time of 40.08.
In the women's 4x400-meter relay, Brown, Crawford, Boakye and Whetstone ran a time of 3:38.92, which ranks fourth on the all-time list.
Tey'ana Ames finished fifth in the shot put (college) with a mark that ranks sixth all-time. The men's 4x400-meter relay team of
Bryce Tucker,
Micah Wood,
Shamali Whittle and
Jameson Woodell ran the No. 5 ranked time of 3:07.68.
The Scarlet Knights will break from competition for two weeks in preparation for the Big Ten Championships on Friday, May 10 through Sunday, May 12 on the campus of Michigan.
