- The Scarlet Knights muscled a 14-8 win over Hofstra on Wednesday night in Piscataway. With the game delayed an hour due to lightning storms and constant rain and wind throughout play, RU never trailed and led by as much as 11 goals in the out-of-conference victory over the Pride.
- Senior goalkeeper Sophia Cardello stopped 10 shots and is now two saves away from becoming the sixth player in program history with 500 for her career. Cardello earned the win against her younger sister, Luchianna, who produced 10 saves of her own in cage for Hofstra. The win was also RU's 24th in 34 meetings with the Pride – the longest series in program history.
- Junior Victoria Goldrick produced a career-high six points on four assists and two goals – one of five from Rutgers to earn three or more points in the win. Graduate student Cassidy Spilis netted a game-high five goals and is now 11 points away from passing assistant coach Taralyn Naslonski for the most in school history. Sophomore Lily Dixon dished out a career-high five assists, junior Michelle Warren added the first hat trick of her career, while junior Alexa Corbin pitched in three points off the bench.
- Rutgers is in the midst of playing six ranked opponents in a span of seven games. The Scarlet Knights have already faced No. 1 Northwestern, No. 2 Maryland, No. 6 Michigan, and No. 16 Yale during the stretch, and will also face No. 9 Johns Hopkins (April 6) and No. 15 Stony Brook (April 9) to close out the regular season.
- Spilis is now just 11 points away from surpassing current assistant coach Taralyn Naslonski for the most career points in program history.
- Already the program's all-time leader in career goals (243), Spilis is also second all-time in career draw controls (277) and seventh in career caused turnovers (84) at Rutgers.
- Through 12 games, Spilis leads the team in points (54), goals (51), draw controls (62), ground balls (25) and caused turnovers (18).
- Spilis is second in the Big Ten Conference and eighth nationally in both goals (51) and goals per game (4.25) this season. Spilis is also fourth in the Big Ten in draw controls per game (5.17) and ground balls per game (2.08) and fifth with 4.50 points per game.
- Last week, Spilis was named a Midseason All-American by ILWomen for the third career time.
- After missing her first two seasons due to injury, junior Victoria Goldrick has been a standout for the Scarlet Knights with 33 points on a team-high 23 assists and 10 goals in 2024. Her 23 assists are third in the Big Ten and 30th nationally this season.
- The Blue Jays own a 9-3 record this season, delivering a 21-13 win over then-No. 9 James Madison last Saturday in Baltimore. The win over the Dukes was the program's first over a top-10 team since 2019.
- Jennifer Barry was named Big Ten Midfielder of the Week after she tallied 13 draw controls against James Madison. Barry lead the conference with 86 draw controls this season.
- Ashley Mackin has scored a team-high 33 goals and also leads the team with 45 points. Ava Angello has tallied 43 points on 32 goals and 11 assists, while Balley Cheetham leads the program with 22 assists this spring.
- Johns Hopkins leads the all-time series, 7-3, but Rutgers owns the latest win thanks to a 15-14 victory over the Blue Jays in the quarterfinal of last year's Big Ten Tournament.
- Rutgers closes the regular season with three consecutive road games, beginning at No. 15 Stony Brook on Tuesday, April 9 in Stony Brook, New York. First draw from LaValle Stadium is set for 6:30 p.m. ET and will stream on ESPN+.
