Shane Knobloch Named First Team All-American by Media

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The All-American listing from Inside Lacrosse was released on Sunday night. Rutgers' midfielder Shane Knobloch was recognized with First Team honors.

Knobloch earned his second All-American listing of the past week, having been named a First Team All-American by USA Lacrosse Magazine on Thursday. He has been named an All-American in each of his four seasons at Rutgers, making him just the second four-time All-American in program history, joining Tom Sweeney, who earned All-American honors each year from 1977 to 1980.

The Moorestown, N.J. native played in 60 games as a Scarlet Knight, where the midfielder scored 98 goals and added 49 assists for 147 points. The Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2021, he was subsequently an All-American in 2021, 2022 and 2023. Knobloch was a three-time All-Big Ten selection, twice making the third team. He was drafted with the fourth overall selection in Tuesday's PLL Draft by the Carolina Chaos, the highest drafted pro player in RU history.

The final All-American listing to be announced will come from the USILA. Knobloch is the 152 different RU player all-time to earn All-American honors, and marks 238 total All-American accolades earned for RU men's lacrosse.
