
Wrestling Mourns Passing of Corey Stasenko

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers wrestling mourns the loss of letterwinner Corey Stasenko, who passed away on May 6, 2024 at the age of 29. A member of the program from 2013-14, Stasenko wrestled at 149 pounds for the Scarlet Knights during his time 'On the Banks.'
A four-time district and country champion at South Plainfield, Stasenko compiled a 152-17 career high school record and was a three-time NJSIAA qualifier and regional champion for the Tigers. Stasenko was high school teammates with former Rutgers wrestlers Anthony Ashnault, Scott DelVecchio and Dylan Painton.
A visitation will be held at the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ, on Monday, May 13, 2024, from 4-8 p.m.
