Rosenzweig Named Women’s Lacrosse Assistant Coach

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women's lacrosse head coach Melissa Lehman has named Livy Rosenzweig as an assistant coach, announced Wednesday. A collegiate standout at Loyola (Md.) from 2018-22, Rosenzweig served as an assistant coach at her alma mater prior to her appointment "On the Banks."

"I am thrilled to welcome Livy to the Rutgers lacrosse family," Lehman said. "During her time as a player and coach at Loyola, she learned from and played with some of the best coaches and players in the game. I am excited for Livy to bring her lacrosse knowledge, love for the game and her passion for connecting with and teaching others as a coach here at Rutgers. We cannot wait for her to get started here 'On the Banks!'"

Rosenzweig enjoyed a standout playing career at Loyola, where she finished first in program history in points (439) and assists (230), second in draw controls (413) and fourth in goals (209). Rosenzweig became just the second player in NCAA history to surpass 400 career points on both 200 goals and points, with her 439 career points fourth all-time nationally.

During her career at Loyola, Rosenzweig was a five-time All-American, four-time IWLCA First Team All-Region selection and three-time Tewaaraton Award Top 25 semifinalist. She was the first player at Loyola - male or female - to record 100 points in a single season, doing so three times during her career.

A native of Katonah, New York, Rosenzweig graduated from Loyola in 2022. After graduation, Rosenzweig served as a volunteer assistant with the Greyhounds for the 2023 season. That year, Loyola finished 19-3 en route to a Patriot League Tournament title and a NCAA quarterfinal appearance.

Rosenzweig also enjoys a successful professional playing career with Athletes Unlimited. In nine games last season, she scored 13 goals with seven assists, while also adding a league-high 46 draw controls. Rosenzweig set the single-game draw controls record with 13 in 2023.

Rutgers advanced to its fourth consecutive Big Ten semifinal appearance this past season after the Scarlet Knights defeated No. 7 Maryland in the conference quarterfinals on April 27 in College Park. RU tallied eight wins on the season and faced eight teams who advanced to this year's NCAA Tournament.
