PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers softball has announced its 2025 Big Ten schedule.

The spring's 22-game conference schedule includes 2024 NCAA Tournament field members Oregon, Washington, and Northwestern, and with the addition of the new league schools will start one week earlier than previous seasons.

The Scarlet Knights start off the conference slate with a home series against Maryland. While typically RU's match-up with the Terps has been a weekday doubleheader, the Scarlet Knights will meet Maryland in a three-game weekend series on March 14-16.

Rutgers has its first dates with Big Ten newcomers on the road traveling to Washington during Spring Break on March 22-23. The Huskies finished 2024 ranked No. 21 in the NCAA/ESPN Poll and No. 16 in the USA Today/NFCA Poll and reached the NCAA Regionals.

RU returns home to welcome another new Big Ten member in Oregon on March 28-29. The Ducks finished ranked No. 20 in the NCAA/ESPN Poll and No. 24 in the USA Today/NFCA Poll along with an NCAA Regional appearance.

The Scarlet Knights follow with back-to-back road weekends against NCAA Tournament competition. RU will travel to meet Penn State on April 4-6 and head to defending Big Ten Champion Michigan on April 11-13.

Rutgers closes out April with a pair of home series games against Northwestern on April 18-20 and versus Illinois on April 25-27. The Wildcats ended 2024 ranked No. 23 in the NCAA/ESPN Poll and secured a spot at the NCAA Regionals.

The Big Ten and regular season schedule finishes off with a home series against Iowa from May 2-4.

All dates and times are subject to change. Television and stream designations will be released at a future date. Home games will be played at the Rutgers Softball Complex. Admission to all home games is free.
