VALENCIA, Calif. – Rutgers women's golf took home 12th place at the Bruin Wave Invitational on Tuesday afternoon in California. 

Lorena Rossettin led the Scarlet Knights on the individual leaderboard with a t-45th finish. 

Next up for Rutgers is the Briar's Creek Invitational in South Carolina, taking place from March 10-11

Round 3 – Tuesday, February 25th
Weather: Sunny, Temps in 70s, 5-15 mph winds

Lorena Rossettin posted the low score of the day for RU with a 2-over 74 to move up 11 spots on the leaderboard from her position at the end of day one. Rossettin played a clean round of golf, picking up a birdie on No. 16 and carding 15 pars on the day. 

Grace Lu shot a 7-over 79 and finished just behind Rossettin in a tie for 47th. Lu had three birdies in her final round, including two in a three-hole span on No. 16 and 18. 

Joline Truong matched Lu with a team-high three birdies in the final round, shooting a 9-over 81 and finishing in a tie for 50th. 

Judy Amano picked up birdies on No. 6 and 12 to shoot a 10-over 82 and finish in a tie for 56th. Lucrezia Rossettin rounded out the team competitors with a 12-over 84 and finished the event in 69th.

Emily James competed as an individual for RU and finished in 60th, shooting a 12-over 84 in the final round. 

Rounds 1 & 2 – Monday, February 24th
Weather: Sunny, Temps in 70s, 5-10 mph winds, 20-25 mph gusts

Truong and Lu matched eachother in the first two rounds, with both shooting a 4-over 76 in round one and 9-over 81 in round two. Truong carded four birdies on the day, including three in her first round. Lu added three birdies of her own on the day. The pair are in a tie for 40th. 

Judy Amano shot a 15-over 159 (78-81) on day one, picking up two birdies in each round for four on the day and is in a tie for 50th. 

Lorena Rossettin shot a 17-over 161 (81-80) on day one, with the highlight of her day being 66-yard hole out for eagle on the par-5 ninth hole in round one. She sits in a tie for 56th with one round remaining. 

Lucrezia Rossettin is in a tie for 68th after shooting a 21-over 165 (84-81) and birdied No. 10 in her opening round. 

Competing as an individual, Emily James is in a tie for 52nd after shooting a 16-over 160 (78-82). In her second round, James rolled in three birdies including a pair on the back nine.
