Celine-Jada Brown and Chloe Timberg look to defend their 2024 gold medals

INDIANAPOLIS – Rutgers track and field strives to achieve yet another record-setting weekend at the 2025 Big Ten Indoor Championships beginning on Friday, Feb. 28 at the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion. Several Scarlet Knights enter the competition ranked in the top 10 in the conference, including a pair of defending Big Ten Champions.

Visit Championship Central to watch this two-day championship unfold and view live results. Live streams are available on Friday (Track/Field) and Saturday (Track/Field) courtesy of B1G+. The event starts at 10:10 a.m. on Friday and ends with the awards presentation on Saturday at 6:00 p.m.

Chloe Timberg, the women's pole vault reigning Big Ten Champion, is set to defend her gold medal entering this weekend's competition with the No. 2 ranked mark in the conference.

"This is probably one of the most exciting Big Ten meets I've experienced so far," said Timberg. "With more schools joining our conference, the caliber of competition has skyrocketed. It's going to be a battle to defend the title, but that pressure is a privilege."

The Scarlet Knights' other defending conference champion is Celine-Jada Brown who captured gold in the women's long jump last season. She ranked in the top-10 in the event entering the weekend and is poised to make another run at the podium's top spot.

"I'm feeling blessed and grateful that God is giving me this opportunity," said Brown. "I've been pushing through some adversity, as everyone does, and I'm excited to see what he has in store for me this weekend."

The Scarlet Knights have several other top performers entering the weekend. Rutgers posted a combined 15 podium finishes at the 2024 Big Ten Indoor Championships, including five gold medals, two silver and one bronze finish.

The sprints team features 60-meter hurdler Chris Serrao who has the second-fastest time in the conference, while Shamali Whittle has top-10 times in both the 60 and 200-meter. Brian O'Sullivan and Kevin O'Sullivan are ranked No. 4 and No. 5 respectively, in the pole vault, while Donavan Anderson is third in the Big Ten in the triple jump.
