PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Of the seven women's divers that qualified for 3M at the NCAA Championships from Zone A, four are Scarlet Knights.
Rutgers will be sending four members of its diving squad to the NCAA Championships following their performance on 3M on the opening day of zones led by NCAA Zone A Champion freshman
Katerina Hoffman.
Hoffman finished with a total of 714.85 with her final six dives totaling 356.45 for the third-highest total in the Rutgers record book.
Junior
Sephora Ford and
Bailee Sturgill will be making their first trip to NCAAs as well. Ford finished third with a total score of 640.05 while Sturgill placed fourth with a final total of 627.40.
Senior
Holly Prasanto will be returning to the NCAA Championships for the second year in a row. Prasanto, who qualified last year for 1M and reached the NCAA consolation finals taking ninth overall, took sixth at this year's zones with a score of 626.05.
NCAA Zone A Diving Championships continue on Tuesday with the Scarlet Knights competing on 1M. Prelim A will begin at 10:15 a.m. and Prelim B will start at 2:45 p.m. with finals at 5:30 p.m.
