PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women's lacrosse (5-2) hosts No. 12 Princeton (5-1) on Wednesday night in Piscataway. First draw is set for 7 p.m., with the game streamed on Big Ten Plus.
 
The Scarlet Knights have won back-to-back games ahead of tomorrow's in-state matchup, which includes victories over No. 16 Stony Brook and Hofstra last week. RU checks in at No. 19 in this week's USA Lacrosse Magazine Top 20, its first ranking of the 2025 campaign.
 
	- Rutgers delivered an 11-8 victory over Hofstra last Saturday in Hempstead, New York. Down 7-6 with 12:45 to play, the Scarlet Knights closed the day with a 5-1 scoring run to secure their second win in as many games.
- Rookie Caroline Ling produced the first hat trick of her career, with all three of her goals coming during RU's fourth-quarter scoring run. Senior Alexa Corbin tallied a team-high four points on three helpers and a goal, while junior Lily Dixon added three assists. Classmate Ava Chiarella also pitched in three points with two assists and a score.
-  Junior Katie Buck secured a game-high six draw controls, while senior captain Emalie Clothier caused two turnovers. Graduate goalkeeper Lexie Coldiron earned her fifth win of the season, allowing just eight goals to go along with five saves and five ground balls.
	- Rutgers moved into the USA Lacrosse Magazine Top 20 on Monday, checking in at No. 19. It is the program's first appearance in any of the three polls this season.
- No. 12 Princeton represents the third ranked for the Scarlet Knights in their last four games, as RU has also faced No. 4 Yale (L, 12-6) and No. 16 Stony Brook (W, 12-11 (OT)) during the stretch. Rutgers is set to face nine ranked foes this year, including No. 3 Northwestern, No. 4 Yale, No. 5 Maryland, No. 10 Johns Hopkins, No. 11 Michigan, No. 12 Princeton, No. 18 Stony Brook, No. 20 Ohio State and No. 21 USC.
- Coldiron has been one of the top netminders in the country this season, leading the Big Ten in saves (77) and saves per game (11.00). Coldiron is also third in the country in save percentage (.570) and 15th in goals-against average (8.96).
- Buck is third in the Big Ten and 15th nationally with 8.00 draw controls per game. Her 56 draw controls rank third in the conference.
- Dixon needs 15 points to become the 28th player in school history to hit 100 for her career.
- Senior Madison Karpe needs eight ground balls to hit 100 for her career.
	- The Tigers enter Wednesday night on a five-game winning streak, defeating No. 22 Harvard, 20-6, last Saturday in their last time out. Princeton owns wins over two ranked foes this season, including a 16-14 victory over No. 13 Loyola last month.
- Princeton ranks sixth nationally with 24.67 points per game. McKenzie Blake ranks eighth in the country with 4.17 goals per game, while Haven Dora is fourth in the country and first in the IVY League with 25 assists.
- Rutgers trails the all-time series with Princeton, 4-14-1. The Scarlet Knights lost to the Tigers, 13-10, last season in Princeton. RU's last win over Princeton came on March 19, 2013, a 12-10 home win.
	- Rutgers heads west to open Big Ten Conference play against Oregon on Sunday, March 16 in Eugene. First draw is set for 3 p.m. ET, with the game streamed on Big Ten Plus.
