PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Graduate student goalkeeper Lexie Coldiron has been named a Inside Lacrosse/ILWomen Midseason All-American, announced Thursday by the publication. Coldiron earned honorable mention laurels, appearing on the prestigious list for the first time in her career. Coldiron is one of five goalies nationally to be named a midseason All-American.
 
Coldiron has been a standout in cage for Rutgers women's lacrosse this season, arriving 'On the Banks' after a standout four-year career at Lafayette. In 11 games, Coldiron is second in the country in saves (117) and fourth with a .522 save percentage. The Pylesville, Maryland, native, is also first in the Big Ten and 11th nationally with 10.64 saves per game, having stopped 10 or more shots six times this spring. Coldiron produced a career-high 21 saves on March 12 against then-No. 12 Princeton and also registered 19 saves in a 12-11 overtime victory over then-No. 16 Stony Brook on March 5 in Piscataway.
 
The netminder has put up massive career totals, needing two saves to hit 600 for her career. Her 598 career saves and 9.97 career saves per game average rank second among active career leaders, while her 148 career ground balls are the fifth most nationally heading into the second half of the season.
 
Coldiron's recognition marks the fifth consecutive season at least one Scarlet Knight has landed on the midseason list under head coach Melissa Lehman dating back to the 2021 campaign.
 
Rutgers hosts No. 21 Ohio State on Sunday, March 30 in Piscataway. First draw is set for 1 p.m., with the game streamed on Big Ten Plus.
