Softball Season Comes To A Close At Iowa

IOWA CITY, IOWA – Rutgers softball fell 4-0 in the regular season finale at Iowa on Sunday afternoon at Bob Pearl Field.

| STATISTICALLY SPEAKING |
- Freshman Ella Harrison fell to 12-19 on the season, going 2.2 innings, allowing three runs on one hit with two strikeouts. She concluded her rookie season with 213 strikeouts, setting the Scarlet Knight single-season record and ending the year 10th on the Rutgers career top 10 list.
- Classmate Kelsey Hoesktra gave up one hit with a strikeout in her 2.1 innings while Laurelai DePew faced four batters in the sixth.
- The Scarlet Knights out-hit the Hawkeyes in all three games of the series, with LA Matthews, Georgia Ingle, and Stephanie Kraska each with base hits in the game three loss.

- The Hawkeyes took a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the third. A trio of walks loaded the bases, leading Hannah Lindsay to plate a run after being hit by a pitch. Soo-Jin Berry followed with a two-run double to right.
- Miscues allowed Iowa to push out to a 4-0 at the end of six played. Avery Jackson reached on a fielder's choice and advanced on a throwing error as RU tried to make the double play. The Hawkeye then advanced on a passed ball and scored on a throwing error in trying to catch her at third.
