Katerina Hoffman Places In Top 5 On 1M and 3M At World University Games

BERLIN, Germany -- Rising sophomore Rutgers diver Katerina Hoffman placed fourth on women's 1M and fifth on women's 3M at the 2025 World University Games.
On Wednesday, Hoffman scored a 249.20 in finals to land in fourth on 1M behind Ouyang Yu and Wang Yi of China and fellow Team USA teammate Avery Giese and 2.65 points away from securing bronze. On her final dive, a reverse 1 1/2 somersault pike, Hoffman moved up two positions to secure her fourth place finish.
In Monday's 3M final, Hoffman was the top American finisher, totaling 259.40 to place fifth behind Wang Wiying and Qu Zhixin of China and Lena Hentschell and Jette Muller of Germany.
In her first season as a Scarlet Knight in 2024-25, Hoffman qualified for the NCAA Championships on 1M, 3M and platform as Rutgers sent a school record four Scarlet Knights to NCAAs. The Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, native won the NCAA Zone A 1M title and qualified for both 1M and 3M consolation finals at the Big Ten Championships.
In mid-May, Hoffman teamed up with fellow Scarlet Knight Bailee Sturgill to win bronze on women's synchronized platform while taking 10th on senior women's 3M and 11th on senior women's 1M at the USA Diving Championships.
More recently, the rising sophomore joined Sturgill to take gold in women's synchronized platform at the 2025 Canada Diving Cup.
