
Sturgill and Hoffman Earn Silver at USA Diving Synchronized Platform Event

Duo Place Second at USA Diving Event to Reach Podium
MIDLAND, Texas – Scarlet Knight divers Bailee Sturgill and Katerina Hoffman teamed up to earn a silver medal at the USA Diving Winter Nationals in the Synchronized Platform event. The duo had a second place finish on Monday in the synchronized platform event.
Hoffman and Sturgill came in second place, scoring a 488.91. The trailed just the duo of Bayleigh Cranford (Texas) and Ella Roselli (Indiana), who scored a 582.66.
The duo are part of a diving program at Rutgers that was ranked number six nationally in the most recent coaches poll, released in early November. Rutgers' divers are also currently tied for the top spot in the nation among the US PDCA's women's team champ power rankings, and fourth among the organization's women's team dual meet power rankings.
The synchronized platform event was the third day of competition at the 2025 USA Diving Winter Nationals featuring Scarlet Knights. Hoffman had reached the finals of each the 1M and 3M previously.
Sturgill is also set to compete on Tuesday in the synchronized 3M event. She was the synchronized 3M champion at the event last year.
