Grace Lu fired off an even 72 and sits tied for 14th to highlight action for the Scarlet Knights at Beacon Hall Golf Club.
Originally set for two rounds, Monday's action was cut short due to thunderstorms. The invitational will now feature as a 36-hole event, with tomorrow's final round set for an 9 a.m. shotgun start.
RU sits in 10th out of 12 teams with a 19-over-par 307. Host Kent State leads the field with a seven-under-par 281, followed by No. 18 Auburn (-2) and No. 18 Virginia (+2) and Ole Miss (+2). Kent State's Veronika Kedroňová leads the 66-player field after she carded a six-under-par 66.

Lu got off to a hot start on Monday, opening with two birdies in her first five holes of action. Lu also rolled in a birdie on the par-5 No. 4 hole to finish with an even 72.
"I really focused on sticking to my game plan today," Lu said. "It is a challenging golf course with tricky greens, so I was happy to make good pars. All parts of my game felt steady even through the long day. We're excited to take on the course again tomorrow."
Junior
Emily James had a birdie on hole 12 to tie for 37th after the opening round, while sophomore
Joline Truong produced birdies on holes 10 and 14 to move to tied for 46. Truong, a native of Ontario, entered play after a top 20 finish at the Wolverine Invitational on September 7 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Rookie
Elizabeth Ryu rounded out the team scorecard 56th. Junior
Krystal Li, also a native of Ontario, did not compete on Monday due to illness.
