PRINCETON, N.J. – Rutgers men's soccer (3-1-1) fell to Princeton (1-0) on Friday night in its fourth consecutive road match. Camron Boumsong netted the first goal of his career in the contest. Â
Rutgers and Princeton battled through the beginning of the first half, with both teams fending off multiple opportunities from the opposing side. Â
The Tigers broke away in the final 10 minutes of the first 45 to take the 2-0 lead into the break. The Scarlet Knights still had the advantage in shots at the half, 8-7, and goalkeeper Ciaran Dalton made a pair of saves. Â
Boumsong got one back for RU, with service from Nick Collins, in the 59th minute to make it a one-goal game. Â

However, Princeton solidified the win with another goal in the 78th minute. Â

- Boumsong's score marks the first of his career and his third point. Â
- Collins has now recorded an assist in the past two games. He has three helpers in his career five points. Â
- 11 of RU's 12 goals this season have come from newcomers. Devon Stopek is the lone returner to net a goal so far. Â
- Ciaran Dalton made four saves in net on Friday to move up to 8th on the all-time career saves list with 187 stops.Â
- Dalton is the only Scarlet Knights to play all 90 minutes of all five matches this campaign. Â
- The Scarlet Knights are now 23-31-10 all-time against the Tigers. Â
