
Men’s Lacrosse: Kurdyla, Juengerkes, Stoller Named Preseason Players to Watch

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's lacrosse student-athletes Colin Kurdyla, Joe Juengerkes and Cardin Stoller were named Big Ten Preseason Players to Watch, the Big Ten Conference revealed on Thursday.
This is the second straight year that Stoller and Kurdyla were recognized as Preseason Players to Watch. The who trio were previously recognized last week with Preseason All-America honors from USA Lacrosse Magazine, with the publication tabbing Juengerkes on the Third Team and Kurdyla and Stoller as Honorable Mention selections.
Kurdyla was an All-American, Second Team All-Big Ten selection and on the Big Ten All-Tournament team last season. The Bridgewater, N.J. native, ranked No. 34 in the Inside Lacrosse Preseason Top 50 Players List, led the team with 27 goals and 40 points last year. He was seventh in the Big Ten in goals per game. In two years, he has scored 47 goals and added 23 assists for 70 points in 30 career games.
Juengerkes returns to RU for a second season in 2026 as a graduate student and team captain. In 2025, in his first year in a Scarlet Knight uniform following a transfer from Princeton, he was named an Honorable Mention All-American and Second Team All-Big Ten selection. The Islip, N.Y. native and two-time team captain had seven goals, four assists, 55 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers as a short-stick defensive midfielder.
Stoller, the Scarlet Knights netminder, was last season named an All-American, First Team All-Big Ten, ECAC Defensive Player of the Year, All-ECAC, and was on the Top-25 for the Tewaaraton Award Watch List. The Owings Mills, Md. native was ranked No. 49 on the Inside Lacrosse Preseason Top 50 Players List. Last season, he had a 8.85 goals-against-average and 56.7% save percentage. Stoller was 7th in the nation in goals-against-average and 12th in the nation in save percentage. The 2024 Big Ten Freshman of the Year was named the national Player of the Week last season after allowing just six goals and scoring a goal himself in the program's monumental victory over No. 2 Maryland.
