
Anderson Secures Bronze on Day Two of Big Ten Championships

INDIANAPOLIS – Rutgers track and field secured a pair of podium finishes, led by Donavan Anderson in the long jump on the second day of competition at the Big Ten Championships on Friday.
Anderson captured bronze to give the Scarlet Knights their first medal of the week. He placed third in the event, recording a leap of 7.64m (25' 0.75"). Celine-Jada Brown added a podium finish in the women's long jump as she finished sixth with a leap of 6.31m (20' 8.5").
The Scarlet Knights return to action for the third and final day of competition with several events left to complete on the schedule, including pole vault, shot put and triple jump among others. Charlee Crawford advanced to the finals of the women's 400-meter after running a qualifying time of 53.00 on Friday. Chris Serrao also moved through to the finals of the men's 60-meter hurdles with a first round time of 7.74.
