O’Sullivan Brothers Go Silver, Bronze and Serrao adds Bronze to Medal Count

Scarlet Knights close out 2026 Big Ten Indoor Championships with nine podium finishes
INDIANAPOLIS – Rutgers track and field added to its medal count with a silver and two bronze on the final day of competition at the 2026 Big Ten Indoor Championships on Saturday in Indianapolis.
Brian O'Sullivan took second place in the pole vault, while his brother Kevin finished third in the event. Brian was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team in recognition of his performance. Chris Serrao placed third in the 60-meter to highlight a team performance at the indoor meet which featured nine total podium finishes.
"We had some standout performances and great efforts," said Bobby Farrell, director of track and field & cross country. "We missed a few opportunities, but we'll learn from them as we get ready for outdoor."
Brian O'Sullivan cleared a height of 5.63m (18' 5.25") to earn his highest finish at the indoor championships and capture his third career medal with the silver. Kevin O'Sullivan cleared an identical height of 5.63m to secure his second career medal with the bronze.
Serrao picked up his third bronze medal in the 60-meter hurdles, posting a time of 7.68.
The Scarlet Knights went 5-6-7 in the triple jump as Donavan Anderson turned in his second podium finish of the week, leading the group in fifth with a distance of 15.60m (51' 2.25"). He was followed by Daniel Arana, who secured his first career podium at the conference meet, placing sixth overall with a leap of 51' 0.25" (15.55m). Joseph Oduro took a spot on the podium in his Big Ten Championship debut, finishing seventh with a distance of 50' 8.25" (15.45m).
Charlee Crawford added a podium finish on the women's side as she placed fifth in the 400-meter, running a time of 53.06.
The men's team scored 35 points across four events to place 11th in the 15-team field, while the women placed 17th (out of 18) with seven points.
