Four Claim Individual Titles at Zingo Nationals

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Conner Harer (165), Max Hermes (165), Jordan Chapman (184) and PJ Casale (197) all claimed unattached individual titles to highlight action for Rutgers wrestling at Zingo Nationals on Sunday at Franklin High School. Nine Scarlet Knights earned top six finishes during the all-day open.
Casale and Chapman both went 3-0 in their respective weight classes. Chapman defeated Gage LaPlante (Army) by 19-7 major decision in his title match, while Casale earned a 5-4 decision over Reid Schroeder in his 197-pound title bout. Harer and Hermes both advanced to the finals at 165.
Easton Doster (157) earned a runner-up finish, Billy Townson (133) finished third, Eric Freeman (197) took fourth and Nate Blanchette (184) and Hadyn Packer (HWT) placed sixth.
