- The Scarlet Knights stole home to take a 3-0 lead in the fourth. Addie Osborne led off with a walk and made her way around the bases on a Rohwer walk and Hoekstra fielder's choice before sneaking home.
- Maryland got on the scoreboard in the bottom half. A fielding error in the outfield gave an opening for Gracelyn Solarz to score from second.
- RU punched in five runs on three hits and a pair of bases-loaded walks in the fifth. Mia Mitchell kicked off the top half with a walk and advanced to third on a Kelsey Hoekstra base hit to right. An infield miscue gave Mitchell the opportunity to score and start the scoring barrage. Baileigh Burtis followed with an infield single. While Charleigh Schuettler collided with the shortstop, she picked herself up and scored. The Scarlet Knights proceeded to load the bases as three-straight walks resulted in RBIs for Rohwer and Siera Hoekstra. Riley Hwang pushed across Hailey Stripling on a single to right to grow the RU lead to 8-1.
- The Terps cut into their deficit with a pair of runs in the bottom half. Sami Woods walked and Anna McGowan singled with two outs, leading to the two-RBI double from Mariah Penta for Maryland to trail 8-3.
- The Scarlet Knights' last score came in the seventh. Osborne led off with a single and reached third on a Rohwer double to right-center. While Siera Hoekstra flied out to left, the misfire in from the outfield gave the opening for Osborne to plate and give RU a 9-3 lead.
