#12 Women's Rowing Closes Out Big Ten Invitational

4V8 Posts Runner-Up Finish Ahead Of #9 California & #17 Michigan
GOLD RIVER, Calif. – The #12 Rutgers women's rowing team wrapped up Big Ten Invitational competition on Sunday on Lake Natoma with the Scarlet Knights on the water against #1 Stanford, #5 Washington, #9 California and #17 Michigan.
Rutgers claimed a runner-up finish in the Fourth Varsity 8. The Scarlet Knight boat of Samantha Bianco, Lindsay Gledhill, Mia Bulmer, Karen Kirkorian, Nina Manglani, Seher Talukdar, Madeline Crumley, Julia Rhodes and coxswain Charlotte Weaver crossed behind #5 Washington and ahead of #17 Michigan and #9 California.
The First Varsity 4 and Third Varsity 4 both took third in their respective heats.
The First Varsity 4 with Audrey White, Kathryn Koleto, Elizabeth Enriquez, Eda Erkan and coxswain Ashley Lo came in 4.407 seconds behind #1 Stanford and were edged by #5 Washington by 1.760 seconds for second.
The Third Varsity 4 rowed by Izzy Johnson, Katie Balint, Sierra Smith, Devin Sutch and coxswain Lindsey Eattock were just behind runner-up #1 Stanford by 3.863 seconds with #5 Washington taking first place.
Both boats topped #9 California and #17 Michigan.
The First Varsity 8, Second Varsity 8 and Second Varsity 4 all placed fourth.
