EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. — Rutgers tennis was defeated by Indiana, 4-2, on Friday afternoon at the East Brunswick Racquet Club. The Scarlet Knights clinched the doubles point and won one singles match, thanks to senior Mai Nguyen.

Doubles

Rutgers won the doubles point on Friday afternoon.

Pair Zuzanna Frankowska and Zeynep Ilker were the first to win for RU, as they claimed a 6-2 victory on court three.

Duo Mai Nguyen and Karina Jumazhanova soon followed suit on the fourth court with a 6-4 win to claim the point for the Scarlet Knights.

Singles

Nguyen was the only Scarlet Knight to secure a singles win today. After falling in the first set, she won sets two and three to claim the first singles point for RU, 2-6, 6-1, 6-4.

Ilker was playing a promising match on the second court, 6-4, 4-6, 4-5, but was unable to finish it before Indiana clinched the match for the day.
