
Track and Field Splits Weekend in New Jersey, Louisiana

PRINCETON, N.J. and BATON ROUGE, La. – Rutgers track and field split its squad sending competitors to the Larry Ellis Invitational in Princeton and LSU Invitational. The Scarlet Knights collected several top 10 all-time marks in their final tune up before the Big Ten Outdoor Championships in two weeks.
The distance squad earned three top-10 times in the 5,000-meter run, securing the No. 2, 3 and 4 spot in the record books. Micah Lawson ran 14:04.54, the second-fastest time in school history to finish fourth overall, while Gavin Rossi went 14:07.63 for the third-best time and Liam Tilton finished with a time of 14:07.89 and fourth-best all-time.
At the LSU Invitational, Sincere Robinson and Brian O'Sullivan recorded first-place finishes for the Scarlet Knights. Robinson won the long jump with a distance of 7.76m (25' 5.5"), while O'Sullivan took the top spot in the pole vault, clearing 5.45m (17' 10.5"). Kevin O'Sullivan finished second with a height of 5.35m (17' 6.5").
Donavan Anderson finished second in the triple jump with a mark of 15.71m (51' 6.5"), followed by Joseph Oduro in third with a leap of 15.46m (50' 8.75"). On the women's side, Paige Floriea took second in the long jump with a distance of 6.16m (20' 2.5") and Tey'ana Ames added a runner-up finish in the shot put recording a throw of 15.82m (51' 11").
The Scarlet Knights will travel to Lincoln, Nebraska for the 2026 Big Ten Outdoor Championships on Friday, May 15 through Sunday, May 17.
